Castilla Keep Home Fortress Strong With 2–0 Win Over Cacereño
Real Madrid Castilla gave the fans at the Alfredo Di Stéfano yet another reason to smile, earning a well-deserved 2–0 victory over Cacereño on a rainy evening that tested both teams. In front of 1,781 loyal supporters, the young madridistas showed patience, character, and quality in securing their fourth straight home win without conceding. The goals from debutant Álvaro Ginés and captain Palacios made the difference and kept the strong momentum of Castilla going.

A Wet First Half

Despite the tough weather, Castilla started pushing up really early. In the 7th minute, Loren Zúñiga headed very close to opening the score, but the visiting goalkeeper reacted just on time. The team of Cacereño tried to answer, but Mestre was attentive and made an important stop in a one-on-one against Iván Fernández.

Everything was tricky due to heavy rain-passes slipped, shots skidded, and Arbeloa was clearly not pleased with some of the details. Still, the best chance of the half was Castilla’s when Palacios hit the post from a brilliant free-kick in added time, the effort deserved a goal, but luck wasn’t on our side just yet.

The first half ended 0-0, but Castilla did look like the only team really pushing for the breakthrough.

Second Half

After the break, Castilla turned up the pace.

Arbeloa made smart changes as Bruno Iglesias and Álvaro Ginés came on, giving the team fresh creativity and movement. A fantastic combination almost produced the opener in the 62nd minute, but it was again denied by the wet pitch.

Cacereño tried to hold on, but Castilla continued to attack with confidence.

The breakthrough finally arrived in the 77th minute, and it was a moment to remember. Pol Fortuny burst down the left and delivered a perfect cross. Álvaro Ginés, on his debut and full of ambition, rose high and headed the ball into the net.

1–0 for Castilla and the Di Stéfano erupted.

Moments later, VAR checked a possible penalty on Yáñez. After review, the referee pointed to the spot. Captain Palacios stepped up with full confidence and placed the ball into the net in the 84th minute.

2–0, game under control, and the crowd enjoying every second.

Cacereño had a late chance, but Mestre slid in for a safe.

Final Score: Real Madrid Castilla 2–0 Cacereño

Another home match, another victory, another clean sheet.
